Cinnamon Sugar Coated Muffins stuffed with Kinder Bueno!

Hi everyone!  Care to try this yummy "Cinnamon Sugar Coated Muffin stuffed with Kinder Bueno"?  I'm a huge fan of desserts and I had the urge to bake something or make something sweet for that matter since after all, it is the Love month.  And so, I was surfing the net when I remembered a food blogger I'm following on instagram named Erwan and decided to check his blog called thefatkidinside.com.  I came across the muffins but what really caught my eye were the words "Kinder Bueno" which is why I just had to try to bake them.

Here are the Ingredients I used to make them and they are of course also on Erwan's blog. :)

1. 1/2 cup sugar
2. ½ tsp salt
3. 1/2 cup milk (whole)
4. 1 1/2 cups all-purpose or self-raising flour
5. ½ tsp nutmeg
6. ½ tsp cinnamon
7. 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
8. ½ kinder bueno for each muffin
9. 1 large egg
10. 1 tsp vanilla extract
11. 1/3 cup (5 Tbsp) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

Topping:
1. ½ cup sugar + 3 tsp cinnamon
2. Butter for topping

Sooo, after you've gathered all the ingredients, you have to mix all of them one by one in order according to Erwan, the first one being the butter, followed by sugar, egg, vanilla extract, milk, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and of course the kinder buenos!

And after you've mixed all the ingredients, the batter would look something like this!!

After you've finished the batter, fill each of the tins by half (buttered) or as you can see, I used paper cups since I do not have a tin and add the pieces of kinder buenos and then cover it with a little bit more mixture so as to bring it to 3/4 fill.

Bake them at 350°F for around 12-15 minutes or you could use a toothpick to see whether the dough would stick or not...

After getting them out of the oven, let them cool for about five minutes and brush them off with butter and roll the buttered part in the cinnamon sugar.

And voila, you can then enjoy your yummy muffins!  Hope you try this recipe!  Thank God for food bloggers!  Hahaha!

I hope you liked my photos and I know I'm no professional at baking but I do hope to get better because I have the passion to bake.  Cheers!

Bits and pieces of this week.

This week has been all about hanging out and bonding with my childhood friends as I've mentioned in my previous posts.  It's been a really good week and I've had a great time laughing until my eyes watered, dancing till the wee hours of the morning, going to school with only four hours of sleep and doing all the chores at home while my parents were away.  Yup!  It's been fun and tough at the same time, but I survived so cheers to that!

Bonded with Lia...

And En-en...

Got some chocos from Chebi...

Kudos to Caloy for this photo :)

Had hot pot with both Caloy and Migs.

Krispy Kreme from the Philippines!

Some other treats from the Phils!

Folks got Migs and I a pair of BOBS instead of Toms. hehehe

Mom knows me too well!

Partied with my girlfriends!

Thank you Lia for this awesome gift!!  Can't wait to use them!

So there goes my week and no it's not over yet so it was great!! I hope you've all had a lovely week as well!!

Girls' Night out!

Every Wednesday here in Macau, it's Ladies' Night which means unlimited free drinks for all ladies!  Haha!  It was the perfect time to go since both my parents were out of town and it's been a while since I last went to Cubic which is why I couldn't let that opportunity go to waste.  I went out with Ana Banana, Marga and Gee  and I believe we all had a blast!!  I mean from being on the dance floor in Cubic to dancing and watching guys dance in D2.  The last time I partied like this was in Paris!!  Aaaah memories!

girlfriends!  Three Anas and a Ginny. Hahaha

On the dance floor!

Bumped into Kelly Chu!! :)

Ana Banana! :)

@ D2.

My dear Marga!

We had a blast as I've mentioned earlier, at least I did and it may be a while again until I can go and party... I still have to recover from that night since I got a cold and I'm coughing like hell right now!  HAHAHA!  Oh well, the "perks" of partying.

Un peu de cette semaine.

This week has been amazing despite the fact that I had to go to school.  The thing is my parents are away for a week so it's just me and my brother which leaves me in charge, so I get to do whatever I want for a whole week without anyone's permission.  HAHAHA!  Sooo, I've pretty much hung out with Carlos a lot and met up with a couple of my friends and it was nice catching up with them.

The photos below are from my phone since I can't always have the SLR with me, would be too heavy if I carry it around all the time.  Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your week as well.

Subway for lunch 5 days ago.

Came across these in Taipa Village.

Finally wore my new shoes and Carlos wore what I got him.

Just look up!!

Just like in Paris eh? :)

Feeling like a tourist! haha

My version of an ice-cream cupcake.

My "lava" cupcake.

All set!

At Sky21 Bar.

Pinky Colada and A thousand eye... or something.

Let's do the blogger pose! Hahaha

Sinulog 2013

Soooo, that's pretty much how my week was.  It was a good one since all I did was laze around or hang out with friends which was great!  I do hope you like my photos even if they are a little bit blurry or unclear.

Love lots,
