Our first day in Bali got us all really excited and ready to explore the island. The day seemed very promising from the moment we woke up. Everything was perfect! Of course my definition of perfect would be clear, blue skies and Mr. Sun coming out to play. We didn't get to have breakfast in the morning since we woke up a tad bit late just in time for brunch. Little did we know that we were headed to one of Bali's popular restaurants.

Oh Happy Days!
Gone are the days when I had the privilege of sleeping at dawn and waking up in the afternoon. Life as an adult is not as promising as it seemed to me as a student. Well, what did I know then? I haven't experienced having to earn for a living at that time. And now, there are times when I wish I could go back to being a student who knew nothing of budgeting salaries and saving up as much as one can. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of perks that comes with being an adult but for once I wish I knew what to do with my life and it's not as easy as deciding what movie to watch or which restaurant to book for a dinner date. It's more than that because you'll have to think way beyond and actually see where you want to be in the next decade or so.

Texas -- Labour Day Weekend!
Being at the Galleria Mall reminded me of Orlando, what with all the trees and stuff. Aaaah Good times!
Two people I can never live without! Ate Angelica and Miguel Wiggle! :)
So our adventure in Texas ended sooner than I thought it would which made me sad because that meant Miguel had to go back to uni for classes. It's one thing to be with just my sister and another thing to be with just my brother, but when the three of us are together, that's when I feel more at ease and I can't help but think that life is just great. :) I'm really glad we got to bond because it's just been way too long since we were together and yes I know I keep repeating it, but it's true.
Tips
Anyway, if you're in the mood for Korean food, do stop by at Carrollton and you'll have plenty of varieties/choices to choose from. You can go for shabu-shabu, Korean BBQ or you can just go and order some of their dishes from the menu. We did all three so it was a really awesome experience! We always went home bloated, hence, that would explain our bulging bellies and the extra pounds we gained while we were there.
Oh and do stop by at Caffe Bene or Mozart Bakery if you'd like to have your sweet fill. They've got waffles & toasts, good coffee & smoothies at Caffe Bene! Trust me it's worth going there and the ambience is a plus! If you're a cake person or if you'd like to purchase some goodies for your friends and family, then go to Mozart Bakery. They have a really nice selection of bread, cake rolls (green tea is a must-try!) and macarons!
If you're looking for something that's not food related, I'd recommend for you to stop by at their little stationery shops where you would be able to find all those really cute stuff such as planners, stuffed toys, pens and pencils, etc. They have posters of Korean artists too if those are the kinds of stuff you're into.
Since Korea is known for their skin care products, count on the shops in Carrollton to have The Face Shop and Tony Moly. I personally have never heard of those shops before until my sister told me about them, not to mention I thought they were a little too pricey. I'd be lying if I said I didn't buy anything though. My sister kept telling me that we were already there so I might as well get stuff I won't be able to get anywhere else in the US. So yes, even if they're a little pricey as one would expect they should be, I'd recommend you all to drop by those shops because you'll never know what you might find. They have a lot of masks, hand creams, face creams, facial wash, etc. and they're really cute too!
The Galleria Mall is huge so you would be able to find almost anything you're looking for: from luxurious brands to affordable ones, count on it to have them.
I hope you like my photos and I do apologize for the quality of my photos as these were once again from my phone. Have a great weekend everyone!

Texas -- Fort Worth Travel Diary Part 2
There was definitely a lot of things to see, but for some reason we weren't as enthusiastic as we were at the Water Gardens and the stockyards. Not to mention, we didn't feel like walking anymore because the sun was scorching hot and I had to stop at almost every water fountain we happened to see/pass by. Don't be discouraged by what I just said though! Everything we saw was wonderful, but we've had a long day so all we wanted to do was pig out!
Can you believe we still managed to have dessert at the same cafe we went to the night before? Now that I think about it, I have no idea how we were able to stuff all that toast in our stomachs because I honestly remember feeling really bloated after dinner. Oh well, I guess we just proved the saying "there's always room for dessert"!
Hope you all have a great week ahead and stay tuned for more travel posts! :)

A walk in the park.
It was a typical hot summer's day in Little Rock... And I woke up just in time to have lunch with my sister. I haven't had Mexican food in Macau so I wouldn't be able to compare which one's better, but it was another great experience for me! Tacos and chips with guacamole, why, please count me in!
Despite the fact that the sun was scorching hot, I still decided to wear a denim shirt over my not-so-obvious crop top. Apparently, I didn't do a good job in showing it well (but I'll do better next time). I paired my top with my floral skirt to spice my outfit in the slightest way possible.
You see, there's a reason as to why I don't wear sleeveless shirts without a cardigan or a denim shirt... my arms are just too flabby, but for some reason, being here has made me not care about that fact too much though, so voila! :)

What's on me: Denim Shirt: Gap| Skirt, Top & Shoes: F21 | Bag: H&M (borrowed from my sister)| Necklace: New Look |
Anyway, after lunch my sister brought me to Barnes&Noble where I got to look around and found some very interesting stuff. I had no idea that they had hard copies of Sparknotes materials! It could've been very useful for the papers I wrote back in college. Oh well...
We took a walk in the park and it was great as I was able to breathe in some fresh air and take outfit photos. Do let me know what you think of this outfit and till next post loves!
P.S. Credits for these photos go to my sister.

Let's talk food!
June is about to end soon and so I thought I'd blog about what's been happening as of late. I wouldn't want you all to think that I've been neglecting this blog, even though I slightly have been already. But I'll save the excuses. :) Work is still taking most of my time, but not for long though because I will be embarking on another adventure pretty soon. For now, my lips are sealed. Anyway, as I was saying, my life's been pretty good, not to mention I've been eating a lot (there's probably nothing new with that). We all know that food photography has become a real trend over the last couple of years and I've become really interested in photographing what I eat too, although I only post some of them. I am currently on the lookout for good cafés and thankfully, a lot of them have popped up in Macau. It's not just the photos I'm after though, I mean that would just be silly. I'm also after their food and whether it's any good or not (okay, I sound like a critic, lol). I like having pasta and drinking smoothies and since I'm barely in the mood to cook for myself, I often opt to eat out (see the photos for yourself below but I've mostly been eating in restaurants for the past month, haha).
Forgive me for if the quality of some of them are bad, I only had my phone with me during those times. On another note, I would like to share with you the joy I'm feeling as Forever 21 will be opening in Macau on July 5th. There probably won't be a need for me to go to hk for F21 (mind you, I said "probably" which may not be true). Hope you like the photos. Till next time!

April.
Oh my! It's more than half-way through April already and I am only a month away from reaching my goal. Isn't it amazing how time flies when you're not looking? :) April's been great so far. There was the Carnevale which lasted for around two weeks and I'm glad I was able to go at least once and see the pretty fireworks, shows and EAT! Yes! Oh, How I love to eat! That's pretty much the only thing I ever do when I'm free. Screw going to the gym! Hahaha although I secretly wish I could go, my schedule won't permit me to do so since I'm working in an office and I'm too lazy to go on weekends since that's my only time off. The photos below are from instagram since I don't have any other photos to show you. I hope you like them. :)
How's April treating you so far? Do let me know in the comment section below :)

Beatrice Quarters.
Before I even got off the car, I immediately spotted this little cafe where Pamela and Arbi were going to take us which at first I thought looked a little bit old school. My reason for thinking that way at that time was probably because of how it looked from the outside, not to mention it looked like it was for kids. Of course, my view changed the moment we sat down and were given menus. Everything there is adorable!! From their menus to the waitresses' uniforms and the presentation of their food. The ambience was just perfect as everyone seemed to be in their most relaxed state.
The food was really delish! If you have a sweet tooth like me, then you'll love the cakes/desserts they offer. Oh and the strawberry milk tea was just heavenly yummy! I'm probably exaggerating too much, but it was really good cause it was the first time I've ever tasted something like it. It never even occurred to me that such a drink existed. Haha! Anyway, if ever you're in Jakarta, the drink is a must-try! I hope you enjoy the photos. Till next post. :)
