Post-birthday adventure ♥

Hiiiii everyone! :)  The week is almost over once again and I couldn't be more psyched because that's when I get to do a bunch of stuff that isn't work-related.

How weekends should be.

Weekends are honestly my favorite time of the week because that's usually the only time I have for myself, my family, friends and of course, Carlos.  However, there are some Saturdays wherein I still have to go to work which just pisses me off!  As if being in the office from Monday to Friday isn't enough.  Gah!  

Anyway, I'll stop complaining now since it won't get me anywhere. :)  Instead, I'll just tell you about how I spent my weekend last week.  Weekends, for me, are usually spent on pigging out!  Lots and lots of pigging out here and there no matter who I'm with because that's when I get to stop and think about what I really want to have.  And I'm never usually in a rush so yea.  Last weekend, my childhood friend, Ana, asked me in the middle of the week whether I wanted to go to HK and without hesitation I said yes!  Therefore, we went to catch the ferry right after work on Friday, put our stuff down in our room and headed to Central where we had breakfast for midnight!  Aaaah yes!  The Flying Pan is just pure love since they're open 24/7 and serve good food! 

We then went to LKF (Lan Kwai Fong) afterwards where we just had a pint of beer each since we were exhausted from working for the whole day and everything.  However, I did have a lot of fun chatting with my dear friend and it was nice being able to hang out with her.  :)  

The next day we checked out and went to Mong Kok, probably the busiest and crowded district in HK.  And the first thing we did was to look for a place to eat because we were starving and so after walking for a couple of minutes, we decided to eat at this place called Teawood.  Aaah yes!  I remember wanting to eat there with Carlos a couple of months back but it was packed so we decided not to.  However, Ana and I were able to get a table right away since there weren't much people at noon.  We both ordered a set meal plus their yummy dessert below.  It was sooooo good and I recommend you all to try it if ever you're in HK, this is a MUST!

Headed to Causeway Bay and then to Central after doing a little shopping in Mong Kok and let's just say I'm a little broke at the moment.  Hahaha!  But it was totally worth it!

We both thought the day (Saturday) went by really quickly and maybe it's because we were having too much fun!  Oh well!  I just hope we can do this again sometime soon and hopefully with a lot more people because after all, the more, the merrier right?  Hope you all had a great weekend and liked the photos!  Cheers!

I spy with my little eyes something that's yellow.

Soooo, the other day, my mom and I went to Hong Kong just to relax and unwind since my last exam ended on the 6th.  Yup!  I'm finally done with exams and that means I'm done being a student which is pretty sad, but I'll save all the tears for another post.  Haha.  Anyway, as I've said, we went to Hong Kong to see the giant rubber duckie because everyone's been talking about it and it's just oh-so-cute!  How I wish I could take it home.  It's floating on the harbour near Tsim Sha Tsui and we were just as thrilled and crazy about seeing it as everyone else.  In fact, we couldn't get enough of it so I have more than a dozen photos of the duck itself despite the crowd.  :)

Right after that, we went to eat at a fancy Japanese restaurant.  You guys should already know about how gaga I get over Japanese cuisine.  Anyway, I didn't get to take photos of all the food we had since mom was too hungry.  We passed by The Peninsula hotel where we stayed a couple of years ago and I would say that it is still by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in.  Mhmm!  I got some macarons from Laduree and then we went shopping!  Wooohoo!  I'm so excited to show you guys what I got from this trip.  I hope you guys enjoy the photos.  I had such an enjoyable time with my mom and well I can say that we had fun.  We were also very blessed to have been given the chance to go to HK on a bright and sunny day because it rained so hard the next day.

Recently Acquired.

Hi there again loves!  I'm blogging for the second time today since I haven't got much to do (actually, I've got loads of assignments and school related stuff to finish, but I'm just too lazy so voila).  Anyway, I mentioned in my previous post that Carlos and I paid a short visit to Hong Kong a couple of days ago and the photos below are a few of the stuff I got.  It's not much since we were short of time and I also mentioned that we had to catch the last MTR and the ferry back to Macau.

The three items above are all from Forever 21 and I'm sooo loving the ring and the multi-coloured print dress.  The tank top was something Carlos picked out for me because he said that I should get something I do not have yet and that I should try something different whereas he didn't allow me to get the other dresses I wanted as it was too common.  That's something to keep in mind: Don't ever shop with your boyfriend!  Haha!  Kidding!  It's nice to hear a guy's opinion once in a while but if there's something you find in a shop that you really like, quickly grab it and pay for it before he sees you, otherwise you might regret not buying it.

Oh!  And I also got two books that I've never had the chance to buy until I went to HMV.  Hehe!  I'm a bookworm sometimes and I love books that are mostly written by Sophie Kinsella!  And to be honest, I usually buy books because the covers catch my eye but I end up loving the stories anyway.  Is it just me or do you guys get attracted by the covers of books too?  Also, I mentioned in a previous post how much I love the UK and anything related to it right?  So, I got a "Keep Calm..." badge pack and I'm totally loving them!  They're oh-so-cute but I'm still thinking about where to pin them.

Oh and guess what?  I love love love this novel!  I borrowed it from my brother's friend and I mentioned it to a friend that I wanted to own it and voila!  He had a friend who was getting rid of books including this so he gave it to me instead.  Oh and it looks brand new!!  Haha!!  I'm so thankful!  Next time, I might just blog about my collection of books.  Soon, maybe?  I hope you guys like the photos.  Till next post loves!

It's always a good time.

Hi there loves!  How've you been?  The weather in Macau has been terrible lately as it's been raining and you'd think it'd be warmer by now but what can I say?  The weather is just way too unpredictable!!  Often times, my mood changes according to the weather so I tend to be all down and sad whenever it's raining and vice versa.  However, I'm happy to say that I was feeling hyped up on Tuesday even though it was raining as I was able to pay a visit to Hong Kong for a couple of hours after school.  I didn't think it would continue to rain cats and dogs but it did and in fact, my parents told me not to go as there was a storm and all that, but I'm stubborn so I went anyway.  I went there with a purpose and that was to go to this seminar about higher education and stuff like that but I was super late and I didn't think I'd still be able to catch the guy who was in charge of all the briefings, but I guess I was lucky cause I caught him literally at the last minute and I got to ask him questions about his university.  Afterwards, I met up with Carlos at the ferry terminal who came to HK as well so that we could wander around for a while and even though it was raining, we managed to have fun which would be totally unlikely if we were stuck in Macau.

 We had dinner at this place called "Paisano's" where we each had a slice of pizza that was bigger than our faces.  Haha!!  I sooo love their pizzas there!  It gave me a hard time in finishing though because I was starting to get full when I've eaten half of it, but I managed to finish it slowly.  We were able to wander around Central and our favorite shops like HMV, Cotton On and H&M but I was only able to buy two books and a couple of badges and nothing else since some of the clothes didn't really suit my taste.  Teehee!  Carlos, on the other hand, was able to buy a pair of sneakers and that's when I decided to get my little brother a pair too.  Soooo, we walked and walked until Carlos told me that he wanted to eat again.  Talk about pigging out.  I felt like we went to HK just to pig out!  Oh well!  The only thing I like about HK is that restaurants are open from morning till late at night so we were able to stay there until almost 11 and that's when we decided to go to Causeway Bay and check out Forever 21 (my all-time favorite store because it's cheap and I'm always bound to find something I like).  It stopped raining then when we got there and in fact, we weren't sure it'd still be open but we took our chances anyway and we were surprised to see the opening hours when it was stated that they're open till 1a.m. in the morning.  Man!  I can really live in Hong Kong!  I managed to only get three items though... a ring, a tank top and a dress because we still had to catch the MTR back to the ferry terminal to go back to Macau.  I was a little bit disappointed, but we can always go back anyway!  Teehee!

A short visit to Hong Kong with the folks.

I went to Hong Kong with my folks the next day after hanging out at "The Private Party" and only had a few hours of sleep, not to mention I felt a little bit dizzy and very dehydrated.  Ahh yes, the effect of drinking although I wouldn't really call it a hangover since I didn't really drink much.  Anyway, we paid a visit to the usual shops in both Central and Causeway Bay such as H&M, Cotton On, Forever 21, etc where I got a couple of stuff for myself.  I'm somewhat glad that my dad tagged along since he's the only person who can stop me from buying stuff and I seriously have to stop myself from buying anything more.

The ones below are stuff I got plus most of them were on sale which I'm pretty happy about.

We didn't really do much in Hong Kong because all my parents wanted to do was wander around the usual places in Central and Causeway Bay for a while and we basically just spent most of our time pigging out in restaurants and fast food restaurants so talk about gaining weight.  Anyway, that's all about my day.  Ciao folks!

An adventure awaits me!

I was given the opportunity to go abroad and study there for a month.  However, I had a super fun night with my boyfriend and little brother before I left.  We went to the Hong Kong international airport the day before I left and my parents came like at dawn.  Anyway, we traveled by train going to the airport and stayed there doing nothing.  Not really, but we stayed up for the whole night and I was so exhausted before I left.  It was a memorable night and I appreciate the fact that both my family and boyfriend came to stay with me.  I super duper love them and I especially love my boyfriend who stayed in Hong Kong just to see me off.

About my flight, I had to sit on the plane for three hours to Beijing and then eleven hours to Paris.  It was such an exhausting time for me, not to mention I had to carry my own luggage.  Regrets regrets, but I have learnt my lesson and next time I’ll never bring most of my clothes and other unnecessary stuff.  Moreover, I’ll never ever travel alone especially when the duration of my flight is like more than 10 hours.  It gets really boring.

Anyway, it was quite an experience though since it was my first time, as in literally my first time to travel alone without my parents.  I mean I have traveled without my parents before, but I was with friends then but that’s a different story.
