Twisted Basics

Hi loves!  Life, as it seems, has been great despite being occasionally stressed at work and so on.  I've been telling myself to stay positive and I have been doing pretty well until today when I got so frustrated, I just wanted to scream, though of course I didn't.  I still tried to keep my cool, even though my temper seemed to go in the opposite direction.  Work is work!  I tend to remember what my sister used to tell me in my first job and that is "to suck it up", whatever problems I may have at work.  As long as I'm breathing, there'll be so much to look forward to because life is amazing, so they say.

Anyway, the photos above were taken last Friday when we had lunch at the park because we didn't want to stay in the office at that time.  I had no idea what to wear that day, so I just grabbed the first few pieces of clothing on my wardrobe and tried to mix and match.   One can never go wrong with wearing basics: shirt, jeans, a long cardigan and of course my new favourite go-to-shoes.  However, my basic shirt kind of differed from the rest because it had a twist!  That's right!  There were skull prints at the back which I really like.  The funny thing about wearing this on that day was that my friend was also wearing a skull printed shirt and trust me when I say we didn't talk about what we would wear on that day.  "Great minds think alike!"

Oh, and I wore my favourite necklace from Aeropostale (Bethany Mota's collection) and as you can see, it spells out "CARGINE" which is short for Carlos & Regine.  It was something I made up for the boyfie and moi.  Speaking of which, today is our Fifth anniversary and I couldn't be happier!! :)

Anyway, I hope you like my photos.  I do apologize if some of them are a little bit blurred.  It's been a while since I last used my camera, so I'm still trying to figure out how to take better photos or adjust it for my friend to take ootd shots for me.
